Holiday Closure

Please note that RSP will be closed for the holiday break from December 24th through January 1st. If you have a proposal deadline near these dates, please connect with us early so we can help keep things merry, bright, and submitted on time.

Initiate a Proposal

Ready to pursue a funding opportunity? Initiate a Sponsored Project in Cayuse to begin the proposal development process with Research and Sponsored Programs (RSP).

Log in using your 91ÊÓƵ credentials and select Sponsored Projects.

Note: please initiate your proposal at least 30 business days (six weeks) before the sponsor deadline to allow sufficient time for proposal development and institutional review.

Getting Started

You do not need to have a finished proposal, or all the project details, to get started. A working title is enough to create your proposal record. Your project information can be updated and refined as the proposal develops.

Creating a Sponsored Project record lets RSP know that you plan to pursue the opportunity and allows us to begin working with you on proposal development. Starting a record does not obligate you to submit a proposal. Projects change, opportunities fall through, and deadlines move.

What Happens Next?

Once you initiate your proposal, RSP will review the opportunity and contact you to begin proposal planning. We will work with you throughout the process, including:

  • Reviewing sponsor requirements and developing a proposal timeline

  • Identifying required proposal documents and institutional approvals

  • Developing the project budget

  • Supporting proposal development and sponsor requirements

  • Coordinating Proposal Administrative Review (PAR)

  • Supporting and overseeing submission to the sponsor

Start early and refine as you go. Your Cayuse proposal record is expected to evolve as we develop the proposal together.
