Proposal Development
Once you have in Cayuse Sponsored Projects, RSP will schedule a PI Planning meeting to discuss your proposal and the application process.
More complex proposals require additional preparation, and we ask for as much advanced notice as possible. The following are examples of project elements that may need additional time:
- subawards to other organizations
- proposals that require campus resources or institutional commitment (e.g., match, in-kind)
- proposals that require signatures from the campus President or other campus administrators
From the time of the PI Planning meeting to the submission deadline, RSP staff will work with the PI to develop the project budget, gather proposal elements, and, as needed, be in contact with project partners and other campus personnel.
Proposal Review and Submission
According to 91ÊÓƵ policy, the University must review and approve every sponsored project proposal prior to submission. This process is called Proposal Administrative Review (PAR).
RSP initiates and manages the PAR process through Cayuse Sponsored Projects. The PI and Co-PIs complete their certifications in Cayuse, and designated University reviewers complete their review and approval through the system. Once all required approvals have been received, RSP works with the PI to complete the proposal submission process.
