2. Review Admission Requirements

Upper Division Transfer Student Requirements - Students have completed a minimum of 60 or more semester transferable units or 90 or more quarter units
- Lower Division Transfer Student Requirements - Students have completed fewer than 60 semester transferable units or 90 quarter units and have completed A2: Written Communication and B4: Mathematics/Quantitative Reasoning.
3. Information on how and when to apply
- Spring 2026 Transfer applications:
- Submit your online Cal State Apply application starting August 1- October 17, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. (for all non-impacted programs)
- Admissions applications for Nursing is not available during spring.
- Fall 2026 Transfer applications:
- Submit your online Cal State Apply application starting October 1, 2025, at 11:59 p.m.

*If you have not completed all of the admission requirements by the required deadline, there's a high chance your application will be denied. Once denied, students will have the opportunity to submit an admission appeal requesting an exception to be made. Admission appeals are reviewed on a case by case basis, and it is not guaranteed your case will be approved. For more information on the appeal process, please visit the Denied Students webpage for Transfer Students.
- Pay a $70 Application Fee or Request a Waiver

When you apply for admission to the CSU through Cal State Apply you are automatically considered for an application fee waiver based on the information requested in the application. You must fully complete the application before the fee waiver eligibility is determined.

If you or your family have experienced a significant change in income, you may qualify for an application fee waiver appeal. Please complete the and include the form located on the bottom of the webpage along with supporting documentation. Applicants will be notified of the decision regarding their fee waiver request via email they included in the fee waiver application form. If approved, the applicant will receive an application fee waiver code to use when submitting their application. If denied, the applicant will receive a denial notification. Please note: There is no appeal process for denied application fee waiver requests.
