MSFT Application & Eligibility Guidelines

 

 

MSFT applications are submitted through . All required information, approvals, and uploads are completed within a single online application. Please review the Proposal Scoring Rubric before submitting an application and be sure to include the respective budget workbook. Application timeline can be found in Annual Timeline page.

All sections of the InfoReady application must be completed before submission.

a. Applicant & Department Information

  • Applicant contact information
  • Department name and department number
  • Department support staff contact information

b. Required Approvals

As part of the application, applicants must route the proposal for approval by entering the following approvers:
  • Program Chair or Director
  • Delegation of Authority (Dean or AVP)
All approver fields are required. If your area does not have all levels of approvers, enter your unit’s primary approver(s) in the applicable field(s) and list MSFTservices@csuci.edu in any remaining approver fields. Once submitted, the application will route to each listed approver for review and authorization.

c. Proposal Details

  • Proposal title and activity dates
  • Brief activity description
  • Student impact, engagement, learning outcomes, and course alignment
  • Number of students impacted
  • Total IRA funding request

These sections are scored by the MSFT review committee. Applicants are strongly encouraged to review the Proposal Scoring Rubric before completing this section.

d. Budget Workbook

As part of the application, applicants must upload one completed budget workbook:

  • Once submitted, applications cannot be edited
  • Applications will route for approval and then committee review
  • All approvals must be completed for the application to move forward
