Summer Opportunities in Health Sciences

The California Department of Health (CDPH) offers
Students interested in applying should send a resume and cover letter to CDPHInternships@cdph.ca.gov. Applicants interested in unpaid volunteer opportunities should express this in their cover letter.
If a student is not placed in a paid internship, CDPH may offer consideration for a volunteer placement based on availability. Volunteer opportunities depend on supervisor capacity and program demand.

The Student Opportunity Center (SOC) provides information of internships, summer research experience, and other experiential learning opportunities.
Students (and faculty) can create accounts and access the online dashboard to explore available opportunities. for account setup and brief is available within the platform. Also, the SOC is now accepting student requests for online research conference funding. They ask that students include a brief statement of support from a faculty mentor as part of the application.

The Panetta Congressional Internship Program offers students a fully funded opportunity to gain hands-on experience in government and public service through a semester-long internship in Washington, D.C. Participants earn academic credit while developing leadership skills and learning about the legislative process.
