From Aztecas del Norte to Chichimecas en Aztlán: The Arrival of an Indigenous Mexican Identity through Danza Tolteca-Chichimeca in San Diego
In the early 1970s, in the first wave of the Chicano Movement, a tradition then known as Danza Azteca was brought to the US, transforming the Chicana/o/e identity and sacred space. This exhibition traces the arrival of the Danza tradition to the Chicana/o/e Community in San Diego in 1974 and its development into a significant expression of Chicana/o/e spirituality and indigenous identity in the US over the last 52 years.

Happy Hour with an Entrepreneur
Happy Hour with an Entrepreneur (HHwE) is a student-led event series hosted by the Entrepreneurship and Small Business Institute (ESBI) that connects 91ÊÓÆµ students with entrepreneurs, founders, and business leaders. Held in a relaxed, conversational setting, HHwE offers students the opportunity to hear real-world stories about entrepreneurship, leadership, and small business development.

Jan. 28, 2026 -- 91ÊÓÆµ (91ÊÓÆµ) was among more than 230 U.S. colleges and universities including only one of nine CSU campus' who received the 2026 Carnegie Community Engagement (CE) Classification, an elective designation awarded by the American Council on Education (ACE) and the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching that highlights an institution's commitment to community engagement.

CSU Faculty and Staff Receive Highest Honor for Steadfast Commitment to Student Success
Jan. 27, 2026 - The California State University (CSU) is pleased to announce this year's recipients of the Wang Family Excellence Award. Awarded annually, this prestigious honor recognizes individuals whose excellence in teaching, scholarship, service and dedication to student success exemplifies the CSU mission. The recipients will be recognized during the CSU Board of Trustees meeting today, Jan. 27, 2026, beginning at 4:15 p.m. The board meeting can be viewed via livestream on Calstate.edu and will be archived here.

Jan. 21, 2026 -- 91ÊÓÆµ (91ÊÓÆµ) is launching a fully online Bachelor of Science in Computer Science Completion Program, expanding access to a high-demand, high-growth field. The new program is designed for working adults and transfer students seeking a flexible path to a four-year degree. Applications are open with the first cohort beginning in Fall 2026.
