Oct. 13, 2023 - October is Cybersecurity Awareness Month (CSAM), and there are several opportunities this month to learn about cybersecurity.
Various CSU campuses will throughout the month to cover a number of topics related to cybersecurity and the kind of roles available to students and professionals interested in the industry.
On Oct. 26 from 11 a.m. to noon, 91Ƶ will host “Comp TIA | Cybersecurity Professional Diaries,” featuring CompTIA's Chief Technology Evangelist, James Stanger. We are fortunate to have his expertise as he shares his presentation, "The Cybersecurity Professional Diaries: A Day in the Life.” A panel of CISOs from the CSU will join him as they discuss the various roles a cybersecurity professional can fill: SOC analyst, GRC/compliance specialist, auditor, pen tester, and more. Panelists include Carlos Miranda (91Ƶ), Cuc Du (CSULB), and Chris Witthans (Chico State).
Be sure to use your CSU email address to if you plan to attend. Participants will be entered into a drawing to win a CompTIA Sec+ voucher and educational training bundle (worth $1,000).
