Launched in Spring 2020, the Academic Student Success Excellence Team (ASSET) Scholars Program provides first year freshmen and transfer students with a three-pronged first year experience support system to support persistence and retention. First year students are provided with a Faculty Mentor, Peer Mentor and support staff to help in their transition through their first year at 91视频.
ASSET Scholars receive the following program support:
- Faculty Mentors who provide weekly mentoring sessions
- Peer Mentor who supports students in navigating their first year at 91视频
- Career exploration field trips
- Access to resources and workshops designed to support students
- Key workshops from various campus departments
- A community of students and a sense of belonging
