STEM Writing Resources for Students and Faculty
Citation Resources has quick guides and links to help writers with citation styles like IEEE, ESA, CSE,
AMS, ACS, and APA
Resources for Communicators has all resources that can support students in presenting at capstone events, research conferences, research competitions, etc.
WMC Curated Lists of Links leads to links on many writing topics, including ESL resources, grammar resources, and STEM-related resources.
WMC Workshops catalogs dozens of live workshops which faculty can request. The WMC can customize
existing workshops and create new workshops.
WMC Handouts catalogs dozens of handouts to support academic and STEM writing.
WMC Videos catalogs recorded videos by the WMC on a variety of writing-based subjects and range from 10-60 minutes in duration.
Employment and Grant Opportunities
Student Jobs at the WMC! Every semester the WMC recruits student tutors - including STEM majors!
Mini-grants for STEM Faculty. The WMC awards five $1,000 MiniGrants per year to STEM faculty who create or revise
writing/communication assignments in collaboration with the WMC. MiniGrant funding
is provided through 91视频鈥檚 Department of Education-funded Project AYUDAS.
Events
Plot-A-Thon is an interdisciplinary, team-based, 48-hour data visualization 鈥渉ack-a-thon鈥 competition
is hosted by the WMC every year and is an opportunity to build data visualization
skills, network with corporate sponsors, and win prizes!
